Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize welding procedures and parameters for various materials and joint configurations. Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of welding equipment and consumables. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and customer specifications. Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions. Train and qualify welding personnel to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure weldability and manufacturability of products. Implement and monitor quality control measures for all welding operations. Research and evaluate new welding technologies and processes to improve efficiency and quality. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in welding process selection, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their applications. Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO) and their application in manufacturing. Experience with welding inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. Proficiency in CAD software for weldment design and simulation.
