Purpose
The Maintenance Mechanic maintains the readiness of all hospital centers, equipment, and supplies.
Coordinate work with various vendors and contractors to assist in maintaining standards and achieving goals.
As a Maintenance Mechanic you Will:
Install and maintains sinks and toilets
Install equipment used in the operation of HVAC system
Install heating, refrigeration and lighting controls
Assist electrician with installation of new service or projects
Assist carpenters with installation of such items as doors, windows and locks
Replace defective floor tiles
Repair machinery and equipment to keep in good running order
Repair fixed equipment major movable equipment and minor equipment i
chairs treatment tables side rail lighting signs patient call lights
Complete daily logs and requisitions
Complete preventive maintenance forms and a timely manner
Able to locate and demonstrate appropriate use of safety equipment
Assist in snow and ice removal
Demonstrate knowledge of incoming location of incoming services
Other duties as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalency (required)
Vocational training (preferred)
Valid Driver's license and clean driving record required
5 years of commercial HVAC experience required
CFC license desired
Previous experience in a hospital or commercial setting preferred
Ability to work independently and flexible to handle any assignment within the scope of your experience and background.
