Job Description

Responsibilities Evaluates management, maintenance, and operating costs of project finances, including furniture and appliances, development, and construction. Provides oversight of housing related activities including utilization and day-to-day operations. Reviews inspections of community rental property to determine adequacy, habitability and suitability as a listing for referral. Represents the organization in meetings and at conferences with local officials and federal, state, or legal organizations concerning current housing programs, practices, and trends. Qualifications Specialized Experience (GS-11): One year of specialized experience that includes managing daily operations of housing for personnel, performing inspections to ensure compliance with terms in signed agreements, and/or assisting with housing project or program development. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Combination may be used to qualify if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100% (calculate as described). Time in Grade Requirement (GS-11): Applicants holding a GS position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (GS-09). Foreign Education: Education completed in foreign institutions must be evaluated as equivalent to U.S. accredited education; or full credit must be granted for courses at a U.S. accredited institution.
