Job Description
We are searching for a Staff Pharmacist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication process, identifying and preventing potential drug-related problems, and resolving actual drug-related problems. Additionally, you perform the duties of a registered pharmacist. All responsibilities will be performed in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0-adult).

Responsibilities: - Proactively monitor, manage, and communicate medication shortages and backorders
- Oversee Omnicell/ADC inventory management, evaluating usage trends to optimize PAR levels, executing floor stock additions or deletions, and ensuring accurate medication placement
- Maintain, and present weekly inventory database reports and metrics grids
- Add, validate, and troubleshoot new National Drug Codes (NDCs) and scan codes within the pharmacy carousel, Omnicell
- Assist with the complete lifecycle of controlled substances inventory, including receiving orders, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and medication waste.
- Support automated medication tray processing systems (e.g., Kit Check/KTB), fulfilling kit-related requests, and performing daily quality assurance checks
- Identify and implement inventory cost-saving initiatives
- Execute VAMS formulary additions and deletions
- Coordinate the prompt removal and quarantine of expired, recalled, or damaged medications
- Support implementation of projects and programs
- Maintain and manage hazardous drug databases.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacy required
- RPH certification from the state of Texas required
- 2+ years hospital staff pharmacist experience preferred
