Nursery Attendant (Open)

The nursery attendant supervises children and their activities from ages 8 weeks to 14 years at Carilion Wellness facilities. They are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the children during their entire stay in the Youth Services Center. Prior experience with children highly preferred. Approximately 12-16 hours to begin Must have Evenings open Mon-Fri and rotating Saturday

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring children's safety and well-being in the nursery and playland areas at all times.
• Enforcing the child sick policy and other policies while utilizing the nursery.
• Maintaining the nursery bathroom neat and clean.
• Watching the children and their activities at all times.
• Contacting parent if child's diaper needs to be changed.
• Ensuring safety with the toys, books, etc.
• Keeping the nursery neat and clean.

Requirements:

Education: Minimum two years high school education. Work permit required if under 18 years of age.

Experience: None

Licensure/Certification: AHA BLS-HCP certification is required (adult and infant/child).
