Position:
Full-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Pay:
Competitive, DOE (Dependent on Experience)

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments and other designated locations.
  • Read and adapt to rapidly changing schedules to ensure timely service.
  • Utilize specialized equipment for loading and securing wheelchairs.
  • Maintain excellent customer service, demonstrating patience and effective communication.
  • Use mobile applications such as Google Maps and Slack for navigation and communication.
  • Manage daily dispatch communications, typically around 4:00 PM for the following day’s schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Driving Experience: Minimum of 10 years of driving experience with a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to bend, squat, push, and pull as required for loading and securing equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using or willing to learn mobile apps (Google Maps, Slack).
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Background Checks: Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Equipment: Access to a working cellphone with a hands-free earpiece.

Requirements:

  • Driver’s License: Valid WA driver’s license with a clean driving record (full WSDOT driver abstract required).
  • Reliability: Flexibility to handle schedule changes and multiple dispatches throughout a shift.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with clients.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing schedules.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation or a related field.

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
