Responsible for the efficient and effective planning of loads for transportation. This role involves ensuring that cargo is optimally loaded to maximize space, comply with safety regulations, and meet customer delivery requirements. The Load Planner will work closely with the logistics, warehouse, and transportation teams to coordinate shipments and streamline operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load Planning: Create and implement load plans to optimize the use of available transportation resources while ensuring compliance with weight limits, safety standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics personnel to ensure timely and accurate loading of cargo.
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, load manifests, and shipping instructions.
  • Monitoring: Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Compliance: Ensure all loads comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including weight restrictions and hazardous material handling.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze load efficiency and transportation costs and provide recommendations for improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, shipment status, and any issues that may impact delivery timelines.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies that occur during the loading and transportation process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance load planning processes and overall supply chain efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 1-3 Years in an Aviation related field
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Operate keyboard, radio, phone and computers to retrieve, input and analyze data.
  • Availability to work any day, any time based on operational needs
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
  • Travel >15%
