About the Role The S&P Global Ratings Event Marketing team manages more than 600 virtual and in‑person events annually, ranging from 30‑person roundtables to multi‑day conferences with 600+ attendees. This role supports the team’s rapid, collaborative environment and serves as a trusted advisor and execution lead for event strategy and delivery across assigned sectors. Responsibilities Stakeholder Strategic Partner – lead collaborative planning discussions with Commercial, Analytical, Market Outreach, and Marketing stakeholders; guide decisions on dates, agenda, location, logistics, communications, and creative direction. Event Logistics & Execution – manage all logistics, including vendor communication, registration, on‑site execution, staffing, attendee tracking, presentation support, materials, evaluations, room setup, food & beverage, AV specifications; develop competency in virtual event execution, platform management, speaker coaching, compliance, and end‑to‑end production. Financial & Operational Management – oversee budgets, negotiate value for Ratings, track the event calendar and pipeline, report on financials, and create repeatable operational systems, templates, and processes that improve efficiency. Communications – oversee pre‑ and post‑conference communications with clients and stakeholders; coordinate communications with speakers and contributors. Sourcing & Vendor Management – identify and source venues, restaurants, transportation, décor, entertainment partners, promotional items, and AV/production vendors; review contracts and provide feedback. Cross‑Functional Collaboration – work with global event marketing partners, support email campaigns and marketing materials, align best practices and execution consistency across regions, and ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety requirements. Mindset & Behaviors – actively listen, communicate clearly, resolve day‑to‑day problems with autonomy, maintain an end‑to‑end view of event delivery, demonstrate adaptability and attention to detail, and collaborate effectively within a broader system. All employees must work from the office at least two days per week. Final‑stage candidates must attend one in‑person interview at the nearest S&P Global Ratings office before an offer is issued. Qualifications Basic Required Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 5–8+ years of progressive event marketing or integrated event operations experience; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple simultaneous events; strong organizational, administrative, and problem‑solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel); stakeholder management expertise. Preferred Qualifications – Experience with Cvent, On24, Marketo, Salesforce, or similar platforms; familiarity with Adobe Suite or Canva; understanding of financial markets and broader business environment; experience with sponsors, client relationships, and fulfillment; knowledge of New York City venues; registration management and event marketing expertise; experience leveraging AI tools for workflow automation, attendee engagement, or analytics. Compensation & Benefits USD $71,000–$107,000 base salary, depending on location, experience, and skills. Eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
