The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently looking for a Certified Recreation, Art, Dance, or Music Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Carolina Center is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina Area. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments, the center serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Programs are available at various levels of care to accommodate the severity of every patient's condition: inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment.

To develop and provide therapeutic activity groups to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. To ensure the safety and well being of these patients and to support the maintenance of therapeutic milieu.
Provide therapeutic recreational, music and activity services to geriatric, adult and adolescent patients.
Assess patients' level of functioning and need for adjunctive therapy services.
Develop and implement activity therapy treatment plans in concert with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Maintain the clinical and administrative documentation associated with services rendered.
Participate in the ongoing implementation of the department's or service's continuous quality improvement plan.

Education: Bachelors' degree in Recreation, Art, Music or Dance Therapy required. Certification in Recreation, Music, Art, or Dance Therapy required.
Experience: Zero- one (0-1) year of experience required. Two (2) years of related experience preferred. A knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Certification required. Successful completion Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. Successful certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR prior to taking an independent patient assignment.
